Linking to the Review Your Booking feature with Pre-Filled Data

You may want to do this when you set up automatic emails from which you link your guests to the Review Your Booking form. (See more about the Review form and what it can be used for here). When doing that, you can let them directly have an overview of their booking, without them having to first enter their booking ID and last name manually. You can do this whether you have the form installed on your website or not.
If the form is installed on your website
Please note that doing this requires some basic knowledge of web development.
To create a deep link to the Review form with the guest data pre-filled, you need to attach query string parameters to the URL of the page where the Review form has been installed. Use placeholder codes for booking id (%bookingnumber%) and last name (%lastname%) when building the URL.
An example link would look like this:
www.hotel-website.com/page-with-review-form?booking_id=%bookingnumber%&lastname=%lastname%
If the form is not installed on your website
In this case, simply use %review-url% in the email template. This will create a link to the Review form on either your Sirvoy Website Builder webpage or the stand alone page, depending on whether you have enabled the Sirvoy Website Builder or not. The choice to link to the Review form on these Sirvoy hosted webpages is not dependent on whether you have the Review form installed on your website or not.
Creating a manual link
If you need to create a manual link to the Review form with pre-filled guest data, you can easily generate a URL for this purpose inside Sirvoy, by following this guide:
- Go to Settings -> Guest portal -> Installation -> Install.
- Click on “Advanced”.
- Add Sirvoy booking ID and last name as found in the booking. (You may also select language. If set, it will override auto-detected language and any language specified in the JavaScript code.)
- In the “Address with embedded booking engine – to generate a customized URL” field, enter the URL of the page where the Review form has been installed.
- A “Customized URL” field will now appear and the URL displayed there will change automatically according to the added booking number and last name. This can now be used as desired.
