Duplicate room types allow you to create copies of existing room types that share the same pool of rooms and the class (room, bed, campsite, etc) as the original. Booking a room in the duplicate updates the availability in the original room type and vice versa. This is especially useful for creating flexible booking options, like rooms with slightly different rates or services.

Why Use Duplicate Room Types?

Creating duplicates of your room types can save time when setting up similar room types with slight variations. It is especially helpful to:

• Create package deals with additional services, such as breakfast.
• Offer rooms at different rates on the same booking channel (for example, refundable vs. non-refundable options).
• Use different settings for the same room type in different places—like Booking.com vs. your booking engine.

How to Create a Duplicate Room Type

1. Go to Settings > Accommodations and click Add New.
2. Give the new room type a name that clearly distinguishes it from the original (For example, "Double Room with Breakfast").
3. Set Duplicate room type to ON.
4. Select the original room type you want to duplicate.
5. Adjust the other room type settings as needed, such as the price, and click Save.
