Setting Up the First Device Setting Up Additional Devices

In order to guarantee the security of your Sirvoy Vault feature, two-factor authentication is required. In other words, whenever you want to access the credit card information in a booking, being logged in to Sirvoy and knowing your password (first factor) is not enough. You also need to be able to access the device the verification code is sent to (second factor).

This means you have to set up an authentication device.

Note: We strongly recommend registering at least two authentication devices, and to ensure accessibility at least one of them should be in possession of the hotel, not of an employee.

Setting Up the First Device

  1. Go to Settings -> Financials -> Sirvoy Vault and click on “Activate”.
  2. Enter the name of the device so you can identify it later.
  3. Enter your phone number, including the country code with a plus sign – e.g. “+44” and click “OK”.
  4. You will be sent a verification code to the number you just registered. Enter the code and click “OK”.

Setting Up Additional Devices

  1. Go to Settings -> Financials -> Sirvoy Vault and click on “Authenticate”.
  2. Choose a device and click “OK”.
  3. Enter the verification code and click “OK”. Now you will be authenticated for 15 minutes.
  4. Click “Add new authentication device”.
  5. Enter the name of the device so you can identify it later.
  6. On the drop-down menu, select whether you want to use another mobile phone number (in this case proceed as mentioned above) or Google Authenticator.
  7. If you select Google Authenticator, click “OK” and you will see a QR code. Open the Google Authenticator app on your phone and scan the QR code.
  8. The verification code will appear in your Google Authenticator app. Enter the code and click “OK”.
