How to create package deals in Sirvoy by bundling services or amenities with rooms

You can create package deals in Sirvoy by bundling a room with extra services or amenities. There are two ways to do it: by duplicating a room type, or by creating a new room type that only includes specific rooms.
Package deals using duplicate room types
Note: This method works with both the Sirvoy booking engine and booking channels. It is the only method that works for booking channels.
If you want all rooms from an existing room type to be available as part of a package deal, the easiest way is to create a duplicate room type. The original and the duplicate share the same rooms. So if a room is booked in one room type, it will automatically become unavailable in the other.
When connecting to booking channels, map the duplicate room type as a separate rate linked to the original room type.
Example:
If you have a room type called Single Room and you want to offer a version that includes dinner, create a duplicate called Single Room with Dinner.
When a guest books a Single Room, that same room will no longer be available in Single Room with Dinner, and vice versa.
Package deals using new room types
Note: This method only works on the Sirvoy booking engine. It cannot be used for Booking channels.
If you want to offer a package deal for only specific rooms from an existing room type, you can manually assign those rooms to a new room type. This lets you pick and choose which rooms are part of the package.
Any rooms shared between the original and the new room type will share availability. So if a room is booked in one room type, it will automatically become unavailable in the other.
Example:
If you have a room type called Single Room but want to offer a dinner package for only some of those rooms, you can create a new room type called Single Room with Dinner. Then, manually assign specific rooms, like Room 101 and Room 102, to the new type.
If a room is booked through either Single Room or Single Room with Dinner, it will become unavailable for both.
