Coupons in Sirvoy offer more than just discounts–they can also be set up to bypass booking restrictions or payment requirements. This is useful for events, such as conferences or weddings, or for travel agents who need booking flexibility beyond your standard settings. 

Using coupon bypass options, you can create flexible booking conditions tailored to specific needs, while maintaining your standard policies for the general public.

Creating a Coupon to Bypass Restrictions and Payment Requirements

To set up a coupon that bypasses booking restrictions and/or payment requirements:

1. Go to Settings > Pricing.
2. Next to Coupons, click New coupon.
3. Select the bypass options:
   • Bypass Restrictions: Useful for restricting general booking access but allowing specific groups (such as event attendees) to make reservations. First, create restrictions under Settings > Availability, then choose the restriction you want to bypass in the dropdown menu here.
   • Bypass Prepayments: Allows coupon users to ignore prepayment requirements set up at Settings > Financials > Card Payments. Choose between:
     • Bypass, but allow prepayments later: The payment requirement is bypassed, but the payment option still appears on the booking confirmation page and in the Guest Portal.
     • Bypass and hide prepayments: Completely bypasses the payment requirement without displaying any payment prompts.
4. Specify any additional coupon settings.
5. Click Save to finalize the coupon.
